Tamara Phelan Trio

Whirlows Tossed and Grilled, 1926 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA

Whirlows on the Miracle Mile has great food, from salads and sandwiches to a full dinner, plus, they just added Taps, so lots of choices of beer on tap (and yes, they do have wine as well for those non  beer drinkers).  They are a tireless supporter of live, local music.  This is a perfect gig for a school night, come on out and join us.

No Cover, spend it on beer

Tamara Phelan TrioNew with some of the best of old, folky with roots, punch, and occasionally grassy; largely acoustic but sometimes feels electric; Tamara Phelan’s music is the very definition of Americana.  Notable for killer harmonies and poetic yet down to earth lyrics, there will never be any question as to where this musician-singer-songwriter grew up.  These songs are a distillation of life in America - all parts of it.  Behind those great harmonies are Tamara on the four-string tenor guitar, Steve McLane on the six-string guitar and Ken Rabiroff on bass.  She's no slave to genre and never boring, the total effect is a great listen.
